Gus and I went to the New Orleans area with a group of JMU students for Thanksgiving 2007. The devastation of the area and the combination of idiocy and neglect provided by various governments has been adequately covered in many places. All I can add are the few dozen pictures here, mostly of the people in my particular work group during the trip. The pictures should be specifically meaningful to the people on the trip. For others, they're just pictures of damages in the area, people trying to fix them, and many youngsters who spent their holiday break working for nothing, and for everything. |
